The best regional training center in the country. It is jointly accredited and all five domains of multi-domain operations can be trained here. Munitions ranging from 9mm all the way up to rockets and GBUs can be live fired and the annual Northern Strike event continues to build momentum and be refined. This is an invaluable training area that Michigan is lucky to have. The maneuver area is massive and the air box is even bigger.
Quite beautiful here with a fair amount of free stuff to do. The facilities are great, I love walking outside to the communal showers everyday. The beds are cozy, only had to share the space with 50 other guys.
Beautiful cabins right on Lake Margrethe. Available to rent for military and retired personnel through Camp Grayling Chargeable Quarters. Would highly recommend getting a group together and utilizing them for a week.
Stop the expansion of Camp Grayling. At 230 square miles, there is more than enough land being used. Expansion would have extreme negative consequences on the community, environment, and wildlife. We don't want our public land to be privatized and used by private contractors for weapons testing.
Beautiful views. Clean, very well stocked rentals right on Lake Margrethe. Have rented for long weekends as well as for two weeks when our daughter got married at Camp Grayling.
Plenty to do on the lake and lots of training space
Love our Military!!! Went to renew my I'd card, while I was in Michigan from Vegas and thought what a lovely drive it would be to renew at Camp Grayling. PFC who helped me was a true joy through the 25 minutes of trying to get fingerprints off these worn hands of mine. Had quite a few laughs with the almost, but not quite good enough prints. Finally success! Love that you can make appts.
